Works created for a now defunct Malaysian-based online literary magazine, ISSUE Magazine. At the start of it in 2012, I was invited on as a regular contributor. Sometime in high school, I had stopped writing regularly. The works I made for ISSUE Magazine allowed me to reacclimatize to utilizing both art and writing for creative work. At a particularly difficult time with my health, this platform allowed me space to just start somewhere.

Here are selected pieces from my time as a regular contributor at ISSUE Magazine, arranged chronologically from newest to oldest. The full archive is here.

"i have been thinking about landscapes, how they have invisible ties to the unseen things that happen inside human beings. the sky is the best movie we will ever see, watch it melt into the distant sea. stare at it until you forget which way is up and time has smothered you away from physics. when that happens, remember to spit — spit to know where the centre of the Earth might be hiding. then dig or die. have you ever wondered what to look for when you get out?"

"The blue that hides behind distant leaves call to me, They scream freedom and heaven - sensations I'm obliged to feel but cannot touch, When I float in the sea I feel closer to God, to the ground I do not reach below me, to the dome of the sky hung above me, suspended."

"You regress your being, risk premature ending, melt while solidifying, rendering your organics into something different, something that is foreign to the way your organs had once been arranged. You sit there and you wait for change – you wait to turn into something that is altogether different from what you once were."
